25 Simple Things You Can Do To Keep Your Money From The Corporations

I liked this 25 Simple… better than the other 25 Simple I reviewed in this issue. There should be more zines focusing on why we shouldn’t let the corporations swallow up small indie projects. Page one is only a statement “you are the target.” Page two is a little poem, like haiku but longer: “they’re white/ they wear nice ties/ and nice suits/ they carry briefcases/ and talk on cellular phones/ even at the restaurant table/ they have firm handshakes,/ beware.” Jeff’s also got some great dweeby clipart up his sleeve, such as the 1970’s boardroom image on the cover, the guy driving in his sports car with a cell phone, and the humongous Rolodex with the caption “They’ve got your number”next to it. He’s convinced me once again, that what he says can come true. In fact I think I’m going to go straight over to the library and borrow “The Media Monopoly” by Ben Bagdikian, at Jeff’s recommendation.
