Underdog Zine
Underdog zine works hard at providing the hardcore scene with a voice in Chicago, Each issue seems more interested in getting you to think about various issues rather than just throwing a whole lot of reviews at you. It’s refreshing to see a zine that isn’t just reviews but has interesting pieces of writing. Like this one that at first glance appears to be a humorous piece about the service industry, “Tipping is not a city in China” but which turns out to be political, and is chocked full of historical and scholarly references to the practice of tipping!
