Nuclear Age Peace Foundation

It is perhaps ironic that a system started by the U.S. military and intelligence services to ensure communications – the Internet – can be used as a tool for peace. Yet this site has information on everything from non-violence to suggested grassroots actions for disarmament. It’s a really good single source for information on global efforts towards disarmament. The articles are often accompanied by photos of people actively involved in making a better world, and usually tell a better story than the accompanying articles. Like many e-zines devoted to specific causes, there are great links to other websites and publications devoted to peace, disarmament, economic justice and non-violence. They make it easy to realize that, despite the fact that the peace movement is no longer front page news, it still exists and is having a real impact on the lives of many. (BB)
