This is a useful document, outlining the historical context and thought of fin-de-siècle German anarchist Gustav Landauer. In a nutshell, Landauer believed that the way to achieve destruction of the State was through displacement; by forming co-ops and developing communities, individuals would eventually supplant state structures. Gambone’s essay is clear and concise, and the presentation is bare-bones but functional. This is the sort of nice educational tidbit that you’re not likely to find in the mainstream. (WB)
