Rumour, and this is only rumour, pits Alanis Morissette’s record company against three kids who were running their very own We Hate Alanis Morissette website out of Victoria, 8C. Apparently, lawyers from Morissette’s label, the Madonna-owned Maverick Records, stepped in and quashed this rebellion, citing copyright violations and the possibility that sales of Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill might be damaged by their anti-Alanis sentiment. Of course, as of now this is only a rumour but if anyone knows anything that might corroborate the events – – drop us a line. Otherwise, we take no responsibility for spreading what might just be a fictitious story conjured up to make Ottawa’s favourite pop bad girl look mean.
